Book Synopsis: DEEP
The topics of this book seem to be primarily concerned with self-development, but that is not the only thing that distinguishes "DEEP". In addition, the style of the book in general categorizes it within what is known as "Wisdom Literature" as a unique literary genre, which is not commonly approached by writers nowadays in standalone books.
The author does not seem intended to formulate traditional pieces of advice that literally guide the reader to a set of steps that must be followed in order to achieve a particular goal. On the contrary, the author seems keen that each tip in his book constitutes a source of inspiration in one way or another, according to the nature and background of each reader. Amr Muneer Dahab states in the preface of the book that:
“Deep reflection is not necessarily associated with complex or slow thinking; rather it is a smart, deliberate response to life around you by giving yourself the opportunity to move beyond the first response—which is often reactive and emotive—to any situation or idea you encounter, whether on a practical, emotional or even imaginary level”.-Amr Muneer Dahab
“DEEP” includes hundreds of deep ideas over more than 400 pages on topics divided into eight chapters, each of which had been previously published separately in an independent book. The chapters of the book cover many diverse and rich areas: Facing troublemakers, dealing with pain, personal financial issues, gastronomy, reading, criticizing, inspiring, and feeling always good to go.
As Dahab hopes, the readers will probably find in “Deep” inspiration to look at life with great confidence and positivity in dealing with the constant challenges.
